Delete Your Onto Something Account

Pro-Motion Lab builds more than one app. This page covers Onto Something, our place-discovery and habit-tracking app. If you're looking to delete an account on one of our other apps (Rainure, Kizuna), contact us using the details below and we'll point you to the right place.

Option 1: Delete in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Onto Something and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Your data.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Confirm. You'll see a countdown showing your deletion date.

That's it. There's no need to contact us if you can get into the app.

Option 2: Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, or can't sign in, email us and we'll process the request manually:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Subject line: “Delete my Onto Something account”
  • Include: the email address or phone number you signed up with, so we can find your account. If you signed up with “Sign in with Apple” or “Sign in with Google,” tell us that too; it helps us match your account faster.

We'll confirm your identity, start the deletion process, and reply to let you know it's underway.

What happens after you request deletion

Your request starts a 30-day grace period, whether you request it in-app or by email. This exists so that a request made in error, or a change of mind, doesn't cost you your account permanently.

  • •During the 30 days: your account is still yours. You can cancel the deletion at any time by signing back in and going to Settings → Your data, or by emailing us if you requested by email.
  • •After 30 days: your account and its data are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: handle, display name, avatar, city, and taste/vibe preferences
  • Your private check-ins and habit data
  • Your saved-place collections
  • Recommendations you've sent and received
  • Your device push-notification token
  • Your subscription record (Free/Pro/Premium status)

What doesn't disappear immediately

  • •Community place photos you shared publicly remain visible on the place's page after your account is deleted; they're relied on by other users browsing that place. Your name is removed from them; the photo itself is not automatically taken down. You can delete an individual photo yourself at any time before deleting your account, if you'd rather it not persist.
  • •Backups are retained for up to 30 days after deletion for disaster-recovery purposes only, then purged.
  • •Legally required records, if any apply to your account, are retained only as long as the law requires and are not used for anything else in the meantime.

This matches what's described in our Privacy Policy (Section 7, Data Retention) and our Terms of Service (Schedule A, Onto Something addendum).
